Pemoline helps improve attention in children who cannot concentrate or who are easily distracted and helps reduce restless or overactive behaviors.This drug can also help with a condition called narcolepsy, an illness that makes it difficult to stay awake during normal daytime hours. This medication is occasionally used for other purposes. Federal law prohibits giving this medication to any person other than the person for whom it was prescribed.
