Ticlopidine is a drug used for its antiplatelet action. Like clopidogrel, it is an adenosine diphosphate receptor inhibitors. It is used in patients where aspirin is not tolerated. It has been reported to increase the risk of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP).
