Used as chlorpromazine hydrochloride and sold under the tradenames Largactil (the "liquid cosh") and Thorazine, it has sedative, hypotensive and antiemetic properties as well as anticholinergic and antidopaminergic effects. Today, Chlorpromazine is considered a typical antipsychotic.
