Day 40 Teeth

Those are my teeth Oh yea Oh one of these past days I watched Billy Elliot I just wanted to make sure I remembered that So yea my teeth I ve been having problems with my teeth for well my entire life actually When I was about 3 I fell into a dresser and had to get my front tooth pulled and it didn t grow back until 3rd grade Yes that s right folks I was missing my left front tooth from ages 3 8 Then I had an abcess Then in 6th grade I ran head first into a girl and broke both my teeth in half The dentist I went to was a complete douchebag asshole other deragatory term and made them speckled too long then too short That s a total of 12 needles in the gums above my front teeth I did however get a TON of Bratz dolls out of the deal So then I got them fixed for good but of course then I had to get braces and they broke AGAIN So blah blah blah palette expanders utter mouth agony and I m good until this year where I got a total of 9 yes NINE cavities filled I swear my achilles heel is totally my mouth I m just not meant to have teeth

This photo is quite representative of those I took of the otters In other words all the otter photos came out pretty horrible The otters are very playful and energetic and won t stay still for a moment I post this one just because of the relatively rare opportunity to see the full display of teeth These otters tended to keep their mouths quite shut except when they played roughly and bit each other just like kittens

I Grind My Teeth

365 Days Day 53 When I started my 365 Days project I kept my pictures relatively impersonal not revealing too much about myself in the process As time has gone on though I ve become more willing to reveal more about myself and even included photos with my girlfriend I ve been inspired by so many great photos in the 365 Days pool and all the self portrait shots from my great group of friends in Seattle Here is another personal photo which reveals something very few people know about me I grind my teeth when I sleep Sometimes it s so loud I can wake myself up To protect my teeth I wear a mouth guard at night Not the most attractive thing to my girlfriend but I guess it s better than being toothless by the time I m 35
