here it is there is much to be said about the place from which we are come from which we are all made i used to think it a place of constant hostility a battlefield an emotional subterfuge that held onto all my badness and then inevitably would punish me it would punish me with a flood that brought waves heavy powerful waves pushing all my badness down down and out out so i could see what i d done so that i had to see it on my skin or dripping from me into water water to wash it all away to take it from me it was a punishable purification but i felt it was neccessary torture for all the wrongs i had committed in my mind never once celebrating its extreme beauty i think of it now as a place of wonder holy territory a place of life a safe zone i think of what it has brought me i think of what it took for me to love this place of joy it took me washing out my own blood from soft cotton it took me touching myself deep reaching in and finding something pure completely lovely and pure in my own blood it took me making love to my husband my love my truest love to see all the bounty i possess it took me carrying a child knowing she was living growing creating inside me inside me it s taken years of self harm to see through to was i possess a beautiful place that loves lives and bleeds itself to a higher level i love this place for it gave me my daughter she is the purest loveliest most beautiful light i have ever known she helped to ammend so much pain that i had within this place i love this place because it is mine
