This crocodile is one from about 60 that live in the Katchikally quot sacred crocodile pool quot in The Gambia They believe that the water in that pool will bless the women with many children Those crocodiles all live in freedom there without any fences and they quickly pulled me back just after I shot this one They found that I was too close cause they can move very quick But I am glad that I was able to take this one

Fellow passenger on the River Gambia ferry

A fellow passenger on the Gambia River We had just crossed the border from Senegal and were looking forward to celebrating our arrival in Banjul after 3 weeks driving a 34 year old VW Beetle from England I loved the way that this lady s heart shaped shoulder formed a heart against the blue of her dress and of the river itself I shot another image of her looking back over her shoulder but there seemed to be something attractive in the anonymity of this capture
