I had to get away from the freezing temps in Seattle 20 degrees
So I made a boat out of a Diet Cherry Coke can donned a hula skirt and went to visit my friend Hello Hula Kitty in Kauai Hawaii On the way I wrote Riffy a love message and placed it inside my bottle and now I m going to throw it and hope it makes it to her soon I snuck into her drawers and borrowed some stationery before I went and ended up grabbing a set that was pink and had Hello Kitty on it ewwwww That s not very manly but it s all I had to work with Trivia The background is Anini Beach the same beach used in the movie quot Honeymoon In Vegas quot photo was taken a few years ago This is the oldest piece of Gio art ever started then not completed Started in April of 2007 finished in January 2008 Gio no longer drinks Diet Cherry Coke but still goes crazy over anything cherry See Gio as he appears above in the film short <a href= http www youtube com watch v=4ZIG3 HE390 target= blank >Gio s Message In A Bottle< a>

These pictures were taken during a March 2004 vacation in Hawaii We stayed at the same beach resort the Mauna Kea Beach that we had enjoyed so much with the boys in 1993 Unfortunately it seemed a little long in the tooth and no longer glamorous and stylish enough to make us want to come back The food was good at the restaurants but not spectacular and the place was dampened literally by a huge storm that had swept through the island just hours before we arrived But we had a good time and relaxed as the photos show I was still VERY heavy having gotten only a couple months into a relatively serious diet the big weight loss came later in the summer mostly as a result of the multiple surgeries for my aortic aneurysm
