i usually keep my hair pretty short and sometimes even shave it all off completely About a year ago i noticed this small lump on my head sorta just back from my forehead near my hairline I didn t think much of it except to curse sometimes if i nicked it with the razor but it s gotten bigger over time so i decided it was time to get it checked After a visit to my GP and no definitive answer as to what exactly it was an appointement was made for yesterday morning to have it looked at and removed by the quot lump and bump quot specialist It took about an hour to remove and about 40 more to stitch me up again but damn it s done nothing but bleed like crazy since It looks decidedly grosser today 36 hours later and i had to go back to work today with this manky looking bandage on my head still bleeding from time to time and probably resembling a decaying zombie or something I just spent the day telling everyone at work quot yeah i was lucky the bullet only grazed me quot I still dont know what it was yet but it s been sent away for analysis and i should find out next week around the time i get the stitches out

Minor Brain Surgery

Because I ve only got a lickle brain The picture above is me post operation This morning I ve been to hospital to have a lump removed from the top of my head It s a cyst that s been growing for a while then became infected Now though it s gone for good The op took all of 30 minutes three nurses and one surgeon Local anaesthetic did the trick so all I could feel was tugging and pulling Which is good When the doc removed it he showed me the offending critter It was pink angry and about the size of a large marble Locals round these parts would have called it a quot dobber quot Yes folks I had a dobber in my head and it s gone now I ll have stitches in for 11 days then hopefully it s no more pressure no more itching and headaches Ain t surgery grand Piccie taken by <a href= http www flickr com photos crox >Crox< a>

DAY 59 I ve never noticed this at our doctor s before just goes to show how being in the 366 2008 group makes you look out for photo opportunities I don t usually take my camera with me to the doctor s but I was only popping in to pick up a prescription

320 322 365 Well maybe this is kinda cheating but this has been my life for the past 3 days Went in for routine day surgery on Thursday which ended up being less than routine I m home now Feeling much better Bring on the summer

Two weeks ago I went in for some quot minor surgery quot on my lower left jaw They thought it would take about 15 minutes As they opened up the jaw it became apparent that a substantial part of the lower left jaw had been infected and gangrene had set in It took 18 injections two highly qualified surgeons a lot of torture instruments you don t want to know about and one and a half hour of brute force to operate on me I went home after the operation with a lot of medication that keeps me far away from pain It s going to take some time for me to recover so if you haven t seen me around I m really very sorry for that
