Vorig jaar was er in Nederland in bloei 2007 een kleine discussie of de maagdenpalm nu wel of niet inheems is Volgens het soortenregister dat we als referentie aanhouden is ie dat wel degelijk maar er blijft dus enige onduidelijkheid Wellicht het meest kloppend is dit quot Hoewel Vinca minor in het zuiden van België wel degelijk inheems is is het dat niet in Nederland behalve wellicht in het Zuid Limburgse Heuvelland Wordt daarom in Nederland beschouwd als een regionale stinzenplant omdat ze dus bv in de Groninger borg niet inheems was maar wel in Limburg quot Maagdenpalm verkiest een vochtige voedselrijke bodem in loofbossen en houtwallen en is op dat soort terrein vaak als ingeburgerd te beschouwen
