Gracie is a little better Gracie is fine now
This photo was taken by Ron on 25 May 2008 First I would like to say thank you all so much for your good wishes and expressions of support We do appreciate it and it is good to know that Gracie has so many people who are thinking of her Gracie is not well yet but she does seem to be feeling a little better We have three things to give her The Clavamox is for the respiratory infection That will probably clear up first The chronic viral eye infection will present more of a problem The vet said she will probably have a few more episodes of this before it does clear up We have two things to give her for the eye infection First we have Atropine Sulfate to use as needed to keep her right pupil dilated The actual medication is Neomycin amp Polymixin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone I hope we don t have to give her the Atropine very often We gave her some last night shortly before bedtime and she hated the taste when it drained into her mouth She ran around spraying foamy spit in three rooms poor things She tolerates the actual medication much better although of course she doesn t like being held and given the eye drop any more than she likes being given the Clavamox pill At least the pill is not as difficult to give her as the Clavamox liquid was Tomorrow we will look for one of those little pill shooters though We have been giving her extra love throughout the day and bribing her with a couple treats after a few of the doses So far she hasn t been too upset and she is not hiding from us Right now she is at the patio door right by Ron while he talks to one of his cousins on the kitchen phone We are supposed to do the eye drops for ten days I hope we don t have to use the Atropine very often Again thank you very much for your expressions of hope and support Edgar Update Gracie is fine now Edgar

tylenol with codeine ibuprofen and something called dexamethasone none of which are doing anything beneficial as far as i can tell at least my dentist didn t look and act like this oh well i m going to go re watch season one of the wire and look forward to being on a liquid diet for the next few days
