Low Blood Pressure
On days 1 2 and 3 of my 21 day cycle I m on a drug that s given intravenously called cyclophosphamide This drug is given for 3 hours and the whole time you have to have this lovely blood pressure machine thing wrapped around your arm It monitors your blood pressure and it goes off every 15 minutes because one of the side effects of cyclophosphamide is low blood pressure Again this is my 4th cycle now and I ve never had a problem with low blood pressure before but this time I did As you can see my blood pressure is 68 over 35 which really isn t that good considering your average blood pressure is 120 over 80 All I remember is the nurses shaking me telling me to get up because they need to get my blood pressure up because if it goes any lower I d go into a coma haha I didn t seem to bothered by it though My reaction was quot so what quot rolled over and tried to go back to bed hahaha That s when the nurses started pulling the cranks and sat my bed up and made me get up haha oh my

Elvis and his twin brother were born January 8th 1935 Drugs for Hol I took Holly to Exeter Hospital for her Chemo session a couple of weeks ago It starts with a simple blood test If her blood cell count looks good they give her Atiavan for nausea In the beginning they gave her Emend Emend costs over $100 per pill She took 3 pills Her first week she was administered Adriamycin and Cytoxin This continued every two weeks for 2 months After this phase She was given Neulasta to increase her white blood cell count Holly said the Nurse told her the Neulasta shot cost $10 000 two days after the Neulasta shot she went to the supermarket passed out and returned to the Hospital for observation She also had shortness of breath Now she is taking Taxol once a week for 3 months she ll be done in March Holly is also on a clinical trial It is a Double Blind Study Phase lll trial of Doxorubicin amp Cyclophosphamide followed by Paclitaxel with Bevacizumab or a placebo Her health plan doesn t cover Procrit so last Monday she received two pints of whole blood to increase her red blood cell count She is looking better Better than this picture shows
