OTC painkillers We used to have a lot of them where I worked because several people suffered from migraine Advil ibuprofen is not sold over the counter in Singapore It is also fairly rare in Taiwan where it is only offered if you ask for a stronger painkiller I like coated caplets they re easier to swallow Panadol is also known as acetaminophen and as paracetamol The most common brand in the US is Tylenol Panadol Extra contains caffeine I much prefer Panadol Extend which offers higher strength tablets rather than added caffeine I now avoid this as I usually want the anti inflammation capability which Panadol doesn t offer And everyone knows aspirin which is a pain to take no pun intended because you have to dissolve it first I also have the chewable type sold as Disprin I have also tried Voltaren and Feldene gels Voltaren Emulgel is OTC in Singapore Taiwan and Australia Feldene gel is OTC in Australia
