Medication update

On the right <a href= http en wikipedia org wiki Carbamazepine >Carbamazepine Tegretol< a> On the left <a href= http en wikipedia org wiki Endocet >Endocet Percocet< a> This is the story so far for the last week I ve been getting really bad headaches that only effect the right side of my head about twice a day generally once during the day once at night waking me up and lasting a couple of hours at a time On an arbitrary pain scale these probably started off as 4 out of 10 pains Thursday saw that going up to around 7 out of 10 which is when I went off to A amp E and was given the drugs above The drugs are supposed to take a few days to really kick in So on Friday I had a really awful 9 out of 10 pain and yesterday one attack late at night which was slightly less painful Hopefully because the drugs are starting to work I m off to see a neurologist tomorrow Monday which probably sounds a lot worse than it actually is As for the drugs I have to take one Tegretol twice a day currently at 7am and 7pm which is specifically for the <a href= http www flickr com photos revdancatt 2216998587 >Trigeminal Neuralgia< a> and has the side effect of making me feel like a total <a href= http www urbandictionary com define php term=space+cadet >space cadet< a> and fairly sick for a couple of hours after taking it Apparently that stops happening after a few days as my body gets used to it The curious aspect of Tegretol is that I m supposed to take it with a meal however it also seems to be an appetite suppressant so I don t really feel hungry The other problem is that eating for me actually seems to be a trigger for an attack On the plus side it makes Milkshakes nearly the perfect solution so not totally bad The Endecet which is some kind of hardcore pain killer is a take as needed And while it doesn t seem to effect the actual attack itself does seem to dampen the after effects which are a couple of hours of dull throbbing pain Although
