This is a 72 year old male with history of recurrent nonsmall cell lung cancer The patient is a cardiothoracic surgeon He was initially diagnosed in 1 1996 with focally advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer He was treated with 2 courses of carboplatin plus Taxol followed by sequential radiotherapy to the chest and followed by surgery At that time the pathologic specimen revealed only a single 4 mm focus of large cell lung cancer in his left lung In 2003 he developed a second lung primary with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma which was T1 N0 tumor This was resected via wedge resection in 5 2003 He now presents with an enlarging right hilar mass Final Diagnosis Fine Needle Aspiration Right Hilum Non small cell carcinoma
