<i>if you love your dog please take a few moments to read this < i> <b>24 January 2006< b> well it would seem that wee morley s thyroid is functioning a little lower than it should be the bloodwork came in today and his wonderful vet called this morning at almost 11 years of age it s hard to imagine that morley hasn t had issues with his thyroid before which leaves me to draw one of two conclusions 1 the assault of a full barrage of vaccinations given to him at the pound upon his adoption triggered the condition or 2 he d been on thyroid meds in the past through his previous owner and they chose not to inform the SPCA it s always been my guess that morley was deeply loved once and i ve always suspected it was a man all we know is that when the pound picked morley up at large they located his owner who told the SPCA to keep him since he was always escaping and that she d had him only three weeks after he was given up because he wasn t getting along with the former owner s toddler horseshit if you ask me since morley s not met a single human being from babies to seniors that he doesn t adore because of a small strip of permanent hair loss on the tip of morley s tail i suspect he d had a bout of severe itching and hair loss in his past and since he came out of the pound with a full and lustrous coat one guess is that he may have been on some kind of thyroid meds prior to him running away but one can only imagine still the most likely culprit is vaccines it was within the first couple of weeks of getting him from the SPCA that morley started severe itching and hair loss i chalked it up to vaccinosis and stress after two months he was <a href= http www flickr com photos illonahaus 15491290 in set 372772 >looking like a short haired jack russell< a> it was very sad his scratching was better through the winter and started again in the spring and the fall and now this latest bout after 19 months i had trouble believing it was sti
