Fireplace Smoke

I was soaking in the tub a couple days ago when I got out I noticed I was shaking from head to toe I thought Oh great what am I reacting to now Then my face started to go numb and I was real dizzy I started to get dressed and noticed my heart was about ready to stroke out this wasn t good not at all After I was dressed I went out into the living room and noticed the whole house smelled like smoke It wasn t just regular fireplace smoke a neighbor had been burning some sort of chemical product in their firplace Maybe a fire log or something I dont know It stunk like a really really bad mens cologne but much worse The reaction I was getting was bad and I had to get out of there a s a p before I dropped dead litterally no joke This isn t a photo of my neighbors chimney I took it while I was out driving around just for this story I love fires they are pretty and warm when there is no other form of heat Obviousley I have to be up wind from it Please don t add chemical products to your fires it is adding poision to the air

100 Organic Cotton Camp Pad

Last time we went camping I ended up in the car due to the mattress I was so wired from the chemical outgassing I couldn t sleep to save my life I am making my own pad out of 100 Organic cotton batting 12 layers deep and thick Organic cotton sheeting material it s pretty thin and could be much thicker but I think it will be much better than nothing plus it will fit in the car

About a year ago I wrote a letter to Ty Pennington with Extream Makeover I explained how my house was making me and keeping me ill I saw how they helped make safe house for others and I hoped they could help me Every show I watched brought tears to my eyes how someone could care so much for others and give them a safe place to live At the time I didn t realize it was all about the quot kids quot I guess it was a silly thing to wish for from them considering I m not a hero of some sort and my kids no longer live here This picture was from awhile ago just one of the times I had to seal off a room This picture was from back when we worked on the moldy kitchen I have needed help with the house for years and have no idea how to make it happen I get spurts of energy to be able to get some things done around here but not enought to make it safe I get so brain dead and weak quot I quot just cant do it Our whole house needs work from head to toe quot All quot our windows leak and doors I haven t had a kitchen in a very long time a oven or stove in 10 years I haven t had a bedroom in 5 years The basement walls are torn out in spots from water leaks I wash dishes in the small bathroom sink The list goes on and on and on I don t mean to complain I really don t I was told years ago that I needed one quot safe room quot in the house for me to retreat to for health reasons I have tried working on it and it s still not done and I have no idea if it will ever get done I m so tired of this With the fertilizer and bug spray season comming up in a week or two I m becomming scared The tape I put around the doors and windows to hopefully keep me safe was making me sick from the petro chemical outgassing so I had to remove it The weather stripping rubbers and foam reek so bad of petro chemical junk I don t know what to do Windows are made from pine and swells my throat shut and I have terrible reatcions to Other windows specially made are to expensive I have run away in my car so many tim

Shots Again

I quit doing shots years ago I would sit for an hour or so just to do a shot not wanting to do it anymore I never liked neddles I have Histamine amp Serotonin shots again to help get rid of reactions or to at least make them more bearable Oh God I am so thankful for them and can t believe I went so long with not wanting them I never would have been able to make it through my son s wedding without them I am also doing antigen shots for the molds every 4 days so I will hopefully build up a tolerance towards them Some of the nasty chemicals that effect me bad I cant do antigens for because they are way too toxic but the Histamine amp Seratonin shots help with those reactions Big Time For others out there that have Environmental illness and are having a tough time dealing with reactions I have to say this outways any natural remidey I ve tried quot by far quot I am so thankful for having them again

Getting Ready For Spring

I went around the house today and foil tapped the windows Our house is about 40 years old and all the windows leak When people use fertilizers and sprays it seems to all come in here I tried a weatherstripping but coudn t handle the outgassing smell This is my quick fix for now My favorite saying quot for now quot I had to do something Outside seems to be real moldy and chemicals all the time Every year I would be a lot sicker than I knew I had to be so this year I hope this does the job I d love all new windows but between the price and if I could handle the wood or not is a whole other story I m excited to see if this works I ordered the metal tape and a vapor barrier roll 500sq ft of KShield quot Environmentally Safe products quot through <a href= http www aehf aehf com >www aehf aehf com< a> I trimmed the 2in tape into 3 strips I know it looks a bit Funky but if it works that will mean the world to me I d love to live somewhere that I was able to open the windows for fresh air

Safe Seal Bed Frame

Well it s been a long time about 9 months since we ve had a bed We had an organic cotton matterss made and it is going to be here tomorrow I have been putting a safe coat application on our bed frame I was having real bad reactions to the wood The pine slats makes me jittery chest pain amp breathing pain swollen throat just ill all over and most other woods I can t handel either with not as bad of reactions So I m hopping this safe coat takes care of the problem It s suppose to seal particle board and plywood from being able to out gas toxin fumes I hope it takes care of the wood sensitivities I m having with the bed If not there are other Safe Coat products that might work better for this purpose I m excited to say the least There are so many MCS people with the worst of sleeping arrangments I know I was one of them I feel very fortunate to get the chance to have a quot real quot amp quot safe quot bed for me with no fire retardents no pesticides no non natural materials ALL ORGANIC It will be a dream come true having a good night sleep Oh Yea Del and I will be able to sleep together WOW
