| We Can t Live Without Health Insurance Reform |
A little doodle my buddy did on a dollar bill a while back But seriously most of you know that I was in a bad motorcycle accident a little over a year ago and the accident wasn t my fault I ve had 18 surgeries to date a partial amputation of my foot and spent a total of 12 weeks in the hospital The other people s insurance covered some of this my insurance covered some of it and now I m staring down the barrel of almost $20 000 00 in debt that wasn t covered I ve paid almost 20 years of insurance premiums without ever using a dime I m pretty proud that I was that healthy And in the end some how I still owe money Sorry for getting political here but some things like Health Insurance Reform just make sense I know I m not the only one in this boat and I won t be the last unless we do something about it Our current system is socialized profit for the rich Plain and simple how on Earth did we create a system that rewards company s to keep us sick and then state we some how still owe them instead of a system that rewards those same company s to keep us healthy P S The healthcare industry overall is declaring record profits yet some how we all owe
