The Wife seems to delight in taking photos of me fiddling with the computer this is one of perhaps 30 photos she has of me in various stages of computer repair over the years Last year was especially trying for my 2000 vintage computer hard drive crashes at the most inopportune time read the day before taxes were due monitor weirdness power supplies fried at least 3 times motherboard in distress etc The computer still serves me however and with care and some luck will hopefully make to its 7 year anniversary on September 1st 2007 At that point I think I ll invest in a replacement Old hardware keeps one honest but there is a limit to such things and it makes mighty loud noises Perhaps I can step into the modern world and stop being a high tech luddite I got a new laptop a month or so ago Does anyone have recommendations for a new desktop computer See also <a href= http koranteng blogspot com 2005 03 disaster recovery html >Disaster Recovery< a>
