The cancer's gone, so where's my confidence?

There's no accounting for how cancer changes us. Some of us work less,  play more, try to make up for lost time, "live like you were dying," as the country hit says.  I underwent a bizarre but nearly complete loss of confidence in my ability to do the things I have done with ease for decades.
