WHO Director-General Dies After Blood Clot

... WHO Director-General, Dr. Lee Jong-Wook, died at 7.43 a.m. today. Two days ago he underwent surgery to remove a subdural hematoma, a blood clot in the brain. Dr. Lee Jong-Wook was 61, he is survived by his wife, one son, two brothers and one sister. Dr. Lee was from the Republic of Korea. He had worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) for 23 years.
