... Even as India is mass slaughtering chicken to contain its first outbreak of the dreaded bird flu, Germany and Malaysia became the latest countries to report the H5N1 virus in their chickens. While Germany confirmed the virus in 22 chickens in Ruegen, taking the total in the country to 103, the Malaysian agriculture ministry confirmed infection in 40 chickens in a farm close to Kuala Lumpur. ...
