I just found out that my brother has athlete’s foot. My question is, we share the same shower room and he walks around barefoot so am I in danger of getting it too? Also, what’s the best treatment for it?

It’s usually transmitted through moist environment like showers, bath houses, etc. To be safe, ask your brother to get further help from a dermatologist so as not to infect you guys. Also, if your brother is ok with oral medication, gris-peg is available on any pharmacy to treat athlete’s foot. Ask him to inquire about it from his dermatologist. Lastly, ask him to keep his feet dry and clean. That should help.
