Default Is sleeping a lot one sign of depression?

Like, if you sleep a lot, to get away from the world and your problems.
my mom said it was (my mom has been diagnosed with depression when she was younger, and so has my sister)
I was just wondering if this is true in some cases?

It could easily be a sign of depression. But it could also be from a change in life style ( e.g. a new job, a new responsibility, a new work out program, a change in weather)
If there is nothing new going on in their life then maybe it is.

Yes sleeping a lot and feeling lethargic with lack of energy is one sign of depression. Try and find activities that you enjoy doing when you feel like sleeping excess amounts.

It is one sign but can also be signs of other conditions such as anemia.

Yes, but not all the time.
During adolescence you also sleep a lot more so it could be a sign of a wide range of things.

Probably not clinical depression.
Sounds like puberty to me.

Default thanks for everything

In our lives, we suffer a lot.. We walk through on several trials, that causes us to give up. Sometimes we think life is so unfair because of the hindrance we've been through. We struggle a lot to survive, but when things went wrong and everything is gone, we find someone to blame on and ask "why me?"..But things are just not constant, things may come and go, if not today, tommorrow, or never. But we need to value things that comes along our way, looking back the past may serve as our guidance to a new and better path forward..

“Every problem has a gift inside. We seek problems because we want their gifts.”
