The American Lung Association (ALA) is a volunteer health organization. It's mission is to fight lung disease and promote lung health through education, research, and advocacy. Local chapters of ALA offer educational information on lung diseases such as asthma. Free information is available on all lung diseases, including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, tuberculosis, lung cancer, influenza, pneumonia, and others.
