I think the danger is probably more down to the fact that it's easier to pick up these nasty bacterial infections in the winter (as Angel says). At least, I'm hoping that's what it is. I can't start worrying again about my little boy's permanent runny nose etc, ... I'm not in an at risk group and I think I'm immune to swine flu anyway so I'm not pushing for it although I have been recently given Hep A, Hep B & tetanus boosters so I'm certainly not scared of vaccines! ...
