I ended up settling on MS Contin with Morphine Sulfate for break-through pain. I also tried a host of other non-narcotic meds including the ever-popular Neurontin (I think that one gave me memory problems but I can't recall for sure...har har). ... I had the EKG, thinking nothing of it, only to be told that I had the freaking heart problem!! It's called Prolonged QT Syndrome. I won't explain the specifics but, suffice it to say, the side effects are heart attack. ...
